Prof. Tanja Brühl

Tanja Brühl is President of TU Darmstadt. She studied biology and political science, earned her PhD in 2002, and was professor of political science focusing on international institutions and peace. Brühl is a distinguished science manager. She was Vice President for Academic Affairs at GU Frankfurt and President of the European University Unite. She is spokesperson of the Rhine-Main Universities (RMU), an alliance of the universities of Darmstadt, Frankfurt, and Mainz. At TU Darmstadt, she drives the university’s vision of advancing science and innovation for sustainable development, thereby taking responsibility for enabling meaningful transformations.
